Jan Brocker is currently a lecturer in the marketing department at the Daniels College of Business, University of Denver. She teaches undergraduate core Marketing courses as well as Daniels “Compass” graduate courses focused on corporate social responsibility, sustainable business practices, and business ethics.
Dr. Brocker has over 25 years of experience in both private and public higher education. At the University of Denver she held various administrative positions including Assistant Dean for Admissions/Student Services with the Daniels College of Business and Vice President for Student Recruitment/Corporate Services with the Division of Extended Learning/University College. She was also Executive Director of Distance Learning, Director of Academic Services, and Marketing Director at Regis University in Denver, CO, and a Program Coordinator with the Division of Continuing Education at Colorado State University.
In addition, Dr. Brocker has several years of experience in corporate environments. As a senior sales representative for Houston-based Century Papers, she consistently earned the distinction of being one of the company’s top producers. As a manager with the San Diego branch of New Hampshire Insurance Company, she reengineered office processes to increase individual and team productivity.
Dr. Brocker is an accredited Insights Discovery practitioner, collaborating with a variety of enterprises to enhance sales performance and/or organizational effectiveness.
Dr. Brocker earned her Ph.D. in Higher Education Administration (cognate in Educational Marketing) from the University of Denver. She also holds a Masters in Education degree in Adult Education (concentration in Business Administration) from Colorado State University (CSU), and a B. S. in Human Development & Family Relationships from CSU.
Dr. Brocker and her husband reside in Payson.
